Our school day begins promptly at 7:40 a.m. and ends at 3:10 p.m..

Arrival

• 7:20 a.m.: Students may enter the building; all students report to the cafeteria
• 7:35 a.m.: First bell rings to dismiss students to class
• 7:40 a.m.: Class begins

The building is accessible to students beginning at 7:20 a.m. daily. Students must enter the building through the front doors only and then proceed to the cafeteria. They may eat breakfast, read or visit with friends. Students are not allowed in any other areas of the building between 7:20 and 7:35 a.m. unless they are with a teacher or parent, nor are they allowed to stay on the playground or other campus areas.

Dismissal

Kindergarten is dismissed at 3:00 p.m. daily, while 1st thru 5th grade students are dismissed at 3:10 p.m. Bus riders board the buses on the south side of the campus on 33rd Street. Students taken home in cars may meet their rides in front of the building or on the north side of the campus on 34th Street. Students are not to cross 34th Street except at the designated crosswalk—safety is a top priority. Students who have not been picked up by 3:20 p.m. must go to the office where they will wait for their rides. 

After-school plans with friends and others should be made prior to coming to school that day. Students are not permitted to use the telephone to get permission for unanticipated plans and activities.
