Cub Scouts

Cub Scouting is for youth in K–5th grade and their families who want to have fun, learn about the outdoors, and earn badges while building life skills. Notice we didn't say boys? As of 2018, Scouts accepts both boy and girl members! Scouts do lots of fun things with other kids. They get to wear a cool uniform, go places, and see things. They play all kinds of sports and build things, like race cars and bird houses. Want to learn a secret code? Want to learn about wild animals? Go Scouting!

Pack 9 is inclusive, laid-back and one of Austin's oldest, founded in 1938! The Bryker Woods PTA has chartered Pack 9 since its inception more than 70 years ago. Although we are chartered by Bryker Woods, Pack 9 counts in its membership scouts from several other schools, both public and private, including St. Andrews, Rawson-Saunders, ACE, Austin Montessori School, and others. We welcome your son or daughter no matter which school they attend! So if you are looking for a Cub Scouting home, please give us a look.

To learn more about Scouts and how to join our group, please join us at one of our upcoming events!

Pack 9's monthly pack meeting happens at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of most months during the school year in the Bryker Woods Elementary cafeteria. All Kindergarten through 5th grade youth and their families are welcome to attend.
